Retirement, dance recital, and Kindergarten

Gabrielle had her dance recital. She looked adorable dancing on stage. Jocelynn came with me and she picked her out a stuffed animal cat and flowers.

Carter playing with the water one morning before church.

I got these pics one morning before the school bell rang. I would often watch her as she played before school began. I can't believe Kindergarten is already ending :(

All year she has tried to climb the wall and could finally do it at the end of the year.

My mom retired this year. We are so happy for her. She has taught for 17 years and was an amazing teacher. We are excited to have her around more. We went to Olive Garden to celebrate!

Kindergarten Luau

It was the annual end of the year Kindergarten Luau and Jocelynn was so excited so wear her lay and grass skirt. I was happy I was able to join and be there to watch her.
They played lots of games: squeezing the water in a sponge into the bucket, musical rugs, the limbo, and many more. They rotated every 15 minutes. After the games, they got hot dogs, chips, and watermelon.

Jocelynn with her friends, Victoria, Elena, and Jaydin.

 Jocelynn thought this was fun!

Then they were all treated to snow cones! Such a fun way to end a great year!

Mothers day, painting, and water balloons

Jocelynn had a cowgirl party she was invited to. She got to ride a pony!

Mother's Day was special. I slept in till 9am and the kids came in with Daddy and made me an amazing breakfast. James is an amazing cook. He made me an omelet with cinnamon french toast with toasted pecans and peaches.

We got out the paint and the kids painted a picture.

I got out the water balloons and the kids played in the water.

Jocelynn wanted to learn how to make a grilled cheese sandwich.

Camping at San Clemente

I called Reserve America in April and all camp beaches were reserved for the summer. I was bummed and wished I planned ahead. There was a spot open for a Friday night at San Clemente. James took the day off and we got there early. It was a beautiful day. There were a ton of sites available. The kids were so excited. We got everything set up and then headed down to the beach.

Our site was pretty close to the beach. We had to walk down a pretty steep trail. It was so warm out.

We had to go under the tunnel to get to the beach and a train would pass by.

The kids love the beach!

Daddy and Mommy enjoying our time together.

I gave the kids showers and then Daddy started the fire. We had hot dogs for dinner and smores for dessert.

I took the kids on a walk and we got to see the sun go down.

 There were these cool caves!

We put a movie on for the kids and James and I stayed out by the fire and spent time together. As we were sitting there a skunk went under our table. I was so scared. James flashed the light and it went away. I was afraid it would spray us.

The next morning James cooked eggs, hash browns, and bacon. We packed up our things and headed for the beach. Such a great memory!
