For the past two weeks, we have been going to the pool from 10:25pm-10:55pm. We go there straight from the gym so it has been busy in the morning, getting everything ready. Has Jocelynn enjoyed it . . . . No. I wish I could say yes, and that she was born to swim but it's going to take practice and getting used to. She has never liked the water. I take that back, she likes it if she is comfortable and doing what she likes to do. She likes putting her feet in and splashing around but don't ask her to blow bubbles.
Last summer we went in the pool all the time. I dunked her a few times. She didn't mind but the year has passed and so has going in the pool so by the end of the summer I can expect she'll like it and then we'll have to start over next summer.
She was fine until last Thursday and the instructor had us do ring around the rosies. Poor thing didn't know what was coming and went down. She hated it. SO when Monday came, anything the instructor said, she didn't trust and so she began crying. These are pictures of the last class. She didn't cry too much but you can tell she'd rather do something else. My mom came yesterday and as soon as she saw Grandma she started kicking, splashing and showing off. I started laughing because that's not how it usually is. I know she can do it. . . she just doesn't want to.
She did very good holding on to the side. She even let the instructor play with her a little.
She did good though and we're proud of her. She can kick, do monster arms, were working on blowing bubbles, and floating on her back.
She loved the end today as you can see. The Lollipop she loves and she got her own certificate. I love the crooked sunglasses too!

She looks so cute. Don't worry it will get better. Rylin was the same way (they are two peas in a pod)
oh man, that is seriously the funniest thing ever. it doesn't surprise me...but she's been a little more daring lately, so maybe she will start to become daring with swimming. i love how she wears the glasses in the water. so funny! her crooked glasses remind me of her mom's glasses! :)
CUTE!! What a little diva in her little suit & stunnas!! :)
Thats awesome you put her in lessons this year! We wanted to with Hailee but we decided to hold off until next year!
